The new Riders on the Storm pitch website is now online. It is the project through which I am taking my story towards television seriality. The website is a complete presentation space, conceived for producers, directors, creative partners and anyone who wants to enter the world of the story through its images, pace and characters.
From story to series
The adaptation is conceived as an eight-part, fifty-minute crime drama set in East Rome. Four Bengali delivery riders steal a kilo of cocaine from the Dragona family, turn their delivery bikes into robbery machines and become famous during a livestream. They were invisible; now all of Rome is watching.
Ibra, Rash, Ferro, Nab and Apa remain at the centre: an unstable crew held together by Dhaka Mini Market, debt and a desire for redemption that can turn into violence. The city is not simply a backdrop but the story’s real field of tension: East Rome, the Lungotevere, the monumental centre and a Bengali community building its own space inside the metropolis.
A complete pitch, in two languages
The project is available in Italian and English. The journey brings together the logline, synopsis, themes, story world, characters, antagonists, pilot, eight-episode arc, future seasons, look book and budget. It is not a simple project page: it is a navigable dossier arranged in pitch order.
The two complete presentations can also be downloaded from the website: the Italian deck and the English deck.
Images, trailer, atmosphere
The trailer and look book translate the tone of the story into a nocturnal, rain-soaked Rome crossed by bicycle. The robbery filmed on a phone, the Gang in front of the Colosseum and Apa behind the Dhaka counter make the series’ central contrast visible: bodies the city ignores and images that suddenly become impossible to avoid.
The initiative is live
The pitch is now open to reading and sharing. You can explore the project, watch the trailer and download the presentation. To return to the narrative origin, the Studio also hosts the Riders on the Storm story page.
