Who is Massimo Scognamiglio?
Massimo Scognamiglio is an Italian mid-career artist, painter, photographer and author, active since the mid-1990s with an established record of exhibitions, museums and international projects.
Born in Rome in 1969, he works across painting, photography, literature, performance, video and AI video. His practice explores identity, the body, memory, migration, technology and the psyche. His work has been presented at Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Centro Pecci and MACRO Asilo; one work is held in the collection of the LÌMEN Art Museum. His career connects Rome, California, Paris and London. He was twice an Exibart Prize finalist and was included in Exibart’s 2026 volume 222 Emerging Artists to Invest In.
